Lehins Aragón was born in San Cristóbal, Venezuela, where he began his musical journey through the world-renowned program El Sistema. This formative experience gave him the opportunity to perform and teach throughout Venezuela. By the age of 13, Lehins had already become the concertmaster of the Simón Bolívar Youth Symphony Orchestra of San Cristóbal. His passion for Mexican music began when he joined one of the leading mariachis in San Cristóbal, Mariachi MexiShow, marking the start of his lifelong connection with this vibrant musical tradition.

In 1999, Lehins moved to Miami, Florida, to continue his violin studies at the New World School of the Arts, where he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 2005. During his time in Miami, he performed extensively both as a soloist and as an orchestral musician. He was a member of the Miami Symphony Orchestra, with whom he had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Lehins’ versatility as a performer has led him to share the stage with renowned artists such as Frank Sinatra Jr., Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers, Pedro Fernández, Alberto Santa Rosa, Cristian Castro, Alejandro Fernández, Pablo Montero, Juan Gabriel, Chayanne, Marco Antonio Solís, and the Count Basie Orchestra, among many others. He was also participated for four consecutive years in the Festival de Mariachis held at Walt Disney World, broadcast nationally on Univision. There, he had the privilege of performing alongside Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mariachi Los Camperos, Mariachi Cobre, and Mariachi Sol de México. Lehins completed his Master of Arts degree at Florida Atlantic University in 2008, where he also taught violin and sight-singing to undergraduate students. Today, Lehins continues to dedicate his career to both performance and education. He is the owner and co-founder of the Pops Orchestra of the Palm Beaches in Florida, owner and co-founder of LaRae Music Academy, and co-founder of Mariachi Rio Rojo of Winnipeg, bringing his passion for classical and Mexican music to audiences across North America.
